The Kindness Knot - Podcast: Meet Gaby
Located in Patterson and serve all of Stanislaus County
Tell us about yourself!: I’ve lived in Patterson for 14 years. I like to take family trips, spend time with friends and help my community.
Tell us about your business!: TKK is a non profit and it’s mission is to actively combat hate, self-hate, and bullying by promoting prevention, support, and collaboration. We strive to reach individuals, particularly ones who have been bullied, and provide accessible mental health resources to foster a resilient community that values acceptance, compassion, and respect for all.
Tell us how it all started!: Our Background: In 2017 when racism was reaching a peak, a fire was ignited to proceed with a national bullying prevention awareness proclamation in a couple cities in Stanislaus County. A proclamation that states; whereas, the county of Stanislaus County and the city of Oakdale, Patterson, and Turlock, welcome and value diverse, racial, ethnic, cultural, and social well-being of our community. This bully-hate free proclamation reignites that spark, that the job is not done. At TKK, we believe that we need to continue a legacy of a long lasting battle. A battle that has long lived in our country, the battle against hate, and the battle against bullying.
Community members, businesses and dignitaries have helped pave the way.
Who is your business for?: Our non profit is open to all. It is all inclusive. We have served intergenerational groups, children, and adults.
Our podcast room is open to all who want to share their experiences and stories.
